Discover the Artist
Born in Belgium, Vinciane Closset discovers her passion for colour during her travels in France, where she immerses herself in the world of the Impressionists. She feels a particular connection with these masters of light, such as Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
From Île-de-France to Provence, from Giverny to the Côte d’Azur, Vinciane explores the landscapes immortalised by these artists. These experiences fuel her research between figuration and abstraction, light and colour. Spain and flamenco, as well as Japanese aesthetics, enrich her poetic and vibrant universe.
Her work is a constant exploration of shadow and light, where each painting becomes a sensory and emotional experience.
Technical details
Born in Antwerp, Vinciane Closset trained at the École Saint-Luc and then at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, before adopting a more personal and self-taught approach in oil painting, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media.
Fascinated by the boundary between figurative and abstract painting, she draws her inspiration from nature, exploring light, movement and emotions. Her figurative works are distinguished by a rich palette and careful details, while her abstract creations play with textures, transparencies and layering.
Beyond her personal explorations, Vinciane creates bespoke paintings in Chantilly and Île-de-France, exhibits regularly in France and Belgium (Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Paris, Senlis) and shares her expertise through her workshops and painting courses, to inspire and support every art enthusiast.
